Mickey Eskimos

Mickey Eskimo is a local surfer , that has revamped an old sugar mill into the most beautiful place to be. They now hold many weddings here. I find that I am really attracted to this look-industrial, elegant and natural.

Mama's fishhouse

Mama's fish house is the most expensive and well known restaurant on the island. Tom knew the guy Bill, who designed it so we got a special treatment to walk through with him. This is a place I would call ECLECTIC he has random stuff EVERYWHERE. But people love it, it was one place that every tourist sucks up the 100 bucks a meal and goes. The view is unlike anything else.

They have an Orchid garden!!! My FAVORITE flower!

We also got to go into the owners house which Bill designed as well.

Jimmy and his sister got tattoos!

Jim's sister came out, and they decided while they were here that they would get tattoos. The nice tattoo parlor in Paia has artist showings in the front . I thought it was really inspiring. I really like seeing what other people love to do. The one guy did wood carved prints, something I dont know if i would even enjoy doing.. but I love the way the art looks in the end.
This was just something I thought was really cool that could be done in a bedroom, or a gallery for an artshow. Im not sure.. just saw it in a magazine and was drawn to it.

This was a "Possible" tattoo that and artist did for someone
I have always liked rough brush strokes like this for portraits with the use if the colors. I want to paint like this.

This was one of the tattoo artist- I really liked his work space , its very eclectic. The coolest thing I saw in his room was an aloe plant that he put in an old campbell soup can!
