New York Times

So, Tom got commissioned to do another New York Times Shoot.. It was for the travel section of the newspaper about stargazing programs. The Hyatt Regency here on Maui has a very well known star gazing program. We got to go down and help him with the shoot. It was very exciting , not only to be apart of the photography end but also to look through the massive telescopes! I was very excited to be shooting with Michael and Tom as their assistant and to learn more about camera settings at night, as well as how to light faces.

Photoshoot

Not that great of a shot- I just like the concept-thanks to jimbo

While out on our adventure with our friend, she decided that she wanted pictures taken of her. She was only going to have this body once, why not have photos with it. I love taking pictures of people, it's my favorite thing to do. So that is what we did-lots of them! It was fun to learn how to play around with the natural lighting.-she might kill me for putting these up!

Randoms

This was on a bathroom stall. I thought it was hilarious-and a piece of art

This tree is called a Rainbow tree- you can see why.Its pretty spectacular that this it what it naturally looks like. Its weird to see bark like this.

This was in the bamboo forest

These are some more photos that were taken while we were out adventuring. Everyday I am in amazement with the different species of plants that are on this island. They are unlike anything I have ever seen.I feel that everything is so graphic here, the landscapes, the signs and even the people.
